August 25, 2022 Update

Tanzania Update / August 25, 2022

All 70 children at Alison’s House of Hope are well and happy. We are excited to report that on September 3, our Child Advocate, Vimbai Mupitaka will be arriving at the mission center. Vimbai has been approved and appointed by the General Board of Global Ministries. Her full-time job will be to look after the welfare of the children at Alison’s House of Hope and her position will be funded by the GBGM.

The St. Lazarus United Methodist Hospital building has now been fully funded from generous donations of First Sebring family members. The final stages of tiling and bathrooms are being completed as of this report. Pastor David will be traveling to Washington DC next week to the annual meeting of the Order of St. Lazarus in America. He will be making a proposal and requesting that the Order of St. Lazarus now step up and take over operations of the hospital and become its major sponsor. First Sebring will continue to be involved in the St. Lazarus Hospital as an integral part of the Sebring-Mwanza Mission Center.

Today, August 25, our mission center is hosting a conference led by “Yatosha.” Yatosha is a United Methodist ministry to the deaf. We are delighted to be able to host 56 participants and leaders at the Sebring-Mwanza Mission Center.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers!
