OUR MISSION

We are a Christian preschool with a classical approach to learning. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered education that cultivates a love for learning, a pursuit of truth, and a deep understanding of the classical liberal arts tradition. We are committed to guiding children in their spiritual, intellectual, moral, and physical development through the integration of a rigorous academic curriculum grounded in Christian values and principles. Through the study of language, literature, history, mathematics, science, and the arts, we aim to foster critical thinking, logical reasoning, creativity, and a lifelong love for knowledge. Our dedicated and qualified teachers strive to create a joyful and nurturing environment where children can flourish intellectually, spiritually and socially. We believe in equipping our students with the tools of learning, enabling them to become virtuous, thoughtful, and engaged citizens who are well-prepared for the challenges of life and have a deep understanding of their faith.

OUR HISTORY

As Methodist Christians, education is in our DNA. Methodism’s founder, John Wesley, founded the first Methodist school in 1748 at Kingswood near Bristol, England. Today, there are more than 700 schools, colleges, and universities around the world share a commitment to the Wesleyan tradition of education. George Sebring (third from right) founded our church in 1912 and we have been educating children ever since. First Sebring Christian Preschool is the latest expression of our commitment to “care for the rising generation.”

OUR CURRICULUM

Our curriculum is grounded in the Christian Classical Tradition with a strong emphasis on the Charlotte Mason philosophy. We steer away from from focusing on typical academics, while elevating the cultivation of virtue, good habits, and knowledge of God above all else. Our instruction is centered on 26-letter themed units with amazing children's books (new and classic), memory recitations for math, science, character, catechism, scripture, manner and hygiene, and more.

OUR FACILITIES

First Sebring’s facilities are second-to-none with a secure campus, newly refurbished classrooms, a full-sized gymnasium and a beautiful garden. Here at First Sebring we are committed to meeting the social, emotional and academic needs of our young learners so they can grow into the changemakers of tomorrow.
